Bastien Moineau obtained his physiotherapy diploma in 2010 and went on to complete both Masters and PhD degrees in France where his work focused on prostheses for individuals with lower-limb amputation. He later joined KITE-UHN in 2016 as a postdoctoral fellow where he worked on rehabilitation methods and materials for patients with spinal cord injuries and stroke. Dr Moineau then held a Mitacs postdoc with the University of Toronto as a physiotherapy and rehabilitation specialist at Myant Inc to apply his experience to textile technologies, in particular electrical muscle stimulation. In his current role as Clinical Sciences Manager, Bastien supports the development and continuous improvement of Myant technologies, and oversees clinical testing of Myant's new wearable smart-textile device, Skiin, to collect and process ECG wirelessly and remotely.
