Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

acquire greater competence related to the day-to-day clinical management of HCM;
summarize the evidence on current and new medical therapies and how to integrate them in clinical practice; and
examine alternative therapeutic strategies in patients who are refractory to medical therapy.

This session will focus on the clinical and medical management of HCM, treatment challenges and how to overcome them, as well as review emerging data on new therapies. It will also delve into other options for patients who are refractory to medical therapy.

This event is an accredited Group Learning Activity under Section 1 as defined by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada for the Maintenance of Certification program and has been approved by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. This program was co-developed with the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and was planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance.
