At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

review and reflect upon the recent 2022 CCS PAD guideline
understand the diagnosis and testing for PAD
review evidence based medical therapy for PAD including:
risk factor modification , antithrombotic therapy and lifestyle modification
understand pre-operative assessment and risk stratification
review considerations in the operative and endovascular approaches to PAD patients

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) is often asymptomatic, under-diagnosed, under-recognized, and under-Treated. It is associated with significant cardiovascular and cerebrovascular morbidity and mortality. In 2022, the CCC has published evidence based guidelines to inform clinicians on best practices to manage patients with PAD. This session will review these guidelines and approaches to optimal patient care.
