Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

review the recommendations in the CCS Guidelines for Cardiovascular Interventions in Adults With Congenital Heart Disease;
understand the indications for intervention for atrial septal defects;
understand the indications for intervention for ventricular septal defect;
understand the indications for intervention for bicuspid valve associated aortopathy;
understand the indications for intervention in patients with tetralogy of Fallot; and
understand the indications for intervention in patients with the Fontan operation.

The 2022 Guidelines for Cardiovascular Interventions in Adults with Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) provide updated evidence-based recommendations on the indications for intervention in patients with ACHD. In this session, members of the 2022 ACHD Guidelines writing panel will review several case studies on key topics, and demonstrate how the guidelines can be applied. Cardiac lesions that will be discussed include: atrial septal defect (ASD), ventricular septal defect (VSD), bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) related aortopathy, tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and the Fontan operation.
