Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

describe the history of the CCS AF Research Award and the impact it has had in supporting early career clinician scientist members;
discuss the association of muscle mass with direct oral anticoagulant in older adults; and
discuss subclinical atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and the risk of heart failure re-hospitalization.

The session features CCS early career members who received the prestigious Atrial Fibrillation Research Award. These principal Investigators will present their study findings and will be challenged with questions from the session chair and panel of recognized leaders and pioneers in heart rhythm research and practice.
