Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

define a general approach to the management of dyslipidemia in primary and secondary prevention;
understand the importance of pregnancy-associated complications on CV risk;
recognize the role of lipoprotein testing and other vascular testing in CV risk assessment;
identify the lipid and lipoprotein thresholds that require intensification of lipid lowering therapy;
analyze the role for non-statin therapies in CV prevention; and
illustrate the tools available to help practitioners apply the 2021 CCS Dyslipidemia Guidelines.

Speakers will highlight some of the key changes/recommendations in the CCS dyslipidemia guidelines with illustrative case presentations to help the audience modify and adapt their clinical practice in the management of patients with dyslipidemia for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
