Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

understand the programming parameters of pacemakers and defibrillators;
interrogate a cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED);
identify and troubleshoot common CIED problems; and
adjust relevant CIED parameters as indicated by the clinical situation.

This simulator-based session will enable participants to learn the basics of cardiovascular implantable electronic device settings, interrogation, and programming.
