Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

identify strategies to monitor, reduce and protect from occupational radiation exposure radiation;
understand how to manage occupational radiation exposure safely during pregnancy;
acknowledge the potential impact of childbearing for Women in Cardiac Sciences and how to develop strategies to improve the work environment for parents in Cardiac Sciences; and
acknowledge the risk of pregnancy complications and infertility issues for Women in Cardiac Sciences and how to adopt strategies to minimize them.

This joint session with the Canadian Women Heart Health Alliance (CWHHA) will focus on frequently encountered challenges for Women in Cardiac Sciences, such as radiation exposure, pregnancy and family planning and how to overcome them to thrive in their professional career.
