Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

understand the indications, contraindication, mechanism, physiological profiles, and complications of commonly use MCS.
be familiar with weaning from MCS and troubleshooting alarms and malfunctions.
describe INTERMACS profiles.

Didactic and interactive session on mechanical circulatory support devices - IABP, Impella, HM3, VA ECMO (12min stations, 2min didactic + 10min interactive). Summary handout will be provided.
