In 2015 Laura Pazzagli obtained a PhD in Mathematical and Statistical Methods from the University of Perugia with a special focus on causal inference methods and inverse probability weighting. During her PhD studies she started a visiting at the Department of Statistics of Umeå University which lasted from 2013 to 2016. From 2016 to 2020 she has been postdoctoral researcher on 'Methodologies for time-varying exposure in pharmacoepidemiology' at the Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology, Department of Medicine, of Karolinska Institutet where she is currently working as statistician. She is part of the working group on Casual Inference in Epidemiology of the Italian Society of Medical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology (SISMEC). She has been Faculty member for the course 'Register-based research course: pharmacoepidemiology - drug use and safety 2019-2020' and currently member of the Scientific Committee of the 13th Nordic Pharmacoepidemiologic Network (NorPEN) conference 2021. In 2021 she was appointed visiting Professor at the University of Milano.
