Heather Danysh, MHS, PhD, is a Senior Research Epidemiologist at RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) and has 12 years of epidemiologic research experience, with a primary focus on cancer, congenital anomalies, and child health outcomes. Dr. Danysh is experienced in managing large multidisciplinary teams for multiyear, multidatabase postauthorization drug safety studies using data sources from the United States (US) and Europe, which has also included outcome validation studies. Prior to joining RTI-HS, she was research faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and an epidemiologist at the Texas Children's Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she investigated factors associated with pediatric cancer risk with an emphasis on environmental exposures. This involved designing and coordinating state-based registry studies as well as clinic- and community-based observational and interventional studies in collaboration with external investigators and state departments of health.
