Steve Kral is a senior level Director with expertise in Disaster Recovery, Emergency Management, Public Safety, and Homeland Security.
Highlights of his experience include:
} Primary author of Congressional testimony for State Homeland Security Advisors of the National Capital Region for three Congressional hearing focused on homeland security grant expenditures and financial management tracking system.
} In 2009, lead a special Presidential Inaugural Task Force to track outstanding management and budgetary issues during the inauguration planning process which helped to ensure coordination and implementation of a successful Inauguration of President Obama.
} Primary author of the District of Columbia’s 2009 Homeland Security Strategy and Performance Management Plan focused on resiliency.
} Chaired and participated in Arlington County’s Emergency Preparedness Advisory Commission (EPAC) as a volunteer for over five years. EPAC is responsible for advising the County Board on policies related to emergency preparedness and response.
Mr. Kral has 20 years of program/project management experience in both private and public sectors environments. He is a facilitative leader with experience in consensus building and change management, strong and lasting professional relationships with Federal, State, and Local emergency management and homeland security officials. He brings extensive experience writing grants, testimony, strategy plans, legislative bills and rules and regulations.
