Faber McMullen is a native of Houston, Texas. He graduated from St Thomas Episcopal School with a classical education. He then attended Texas A&M University graduating in December of 1977 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He furthered his studies at North Carolina State University earning a Master of Economics in 1979.
After selling his drilling equipment businss around the year 2000, he moved to his farm in Navasota where he practiced law for about 10 years. His specialty was in Real Estate Law and Wills and Trusts. During this time, he began pastoring a home church, and eventually worked in the role of an assistant pastor for First Baptist of Navasota. He closed his law practice and earned a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 2015. He was called to Union Grove to as Pastor in July of 2016, where he continues serving as Senior Pastor of this community of faith.
