Carol J. Rollins, M.S., Pharm.D., BCNSP, FASHP is a Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. She received her B.S. in Pharmacy and Pharm.D. from the University of Arizona and completed a Nutrition Support Pharmacy Practice Residency at University Medical Center (UMC) in Tucson, Arizona. Carol received her M.S. in Food Science and Nutrition from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and her initial Bachelor’s degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.
Carol held several positions at UMC including developing home infusion clinical pharmacy services, coordinator of parenteral nutrition services, ASHP accredited PGY2 Nutrition Support Pharmacy Residency Director and PGY1-PGY2 residency preceptor. She has authored/co-authored 50+ book chapters, delivered 175+ presentations (local, state, national), helped develop several large educational programs, and served as nutrition section editor in a major pharmacy text for several editions. Carol has received several national awards for education and preceptor activities, including the 2012 ASHP Foundation Preceptor Award and ASPEN’s Excellence in Nutrition Support Education Award. Carol served four years on the Executive Committee of ASHP's Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists and as chair of the Section of Ambulatory Care. She has served 10 years as a delegate and three as an alternate delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates. Carol most recently served on ASHP's Ambulatory Care Section Education Committee.
