Dr. Takashi Yamaki received his M.D. from Faculty of Medicine, Kagoshima University, Japan in 1988. He started his carrier as a phlebologist in 1993, and became active members of several International Societies after 1997. He is currently a clinical professor of the plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Tokyo Women’s Medical University Medical Center East.
His awards include: 2012 Gold Award at 26th American College of Phlebology, 2010 Platinum Award at 24th American College of Phlebology, 2010 Best Venous Presentation Award at 5th Asian Venous Forum, 2007 Gold Award at 21st American College of Phlebology, 2006 Sigvaris Travel Fellowship Award at 18th American Venous Forum, 2005 Platinum Award at 19th American College of Phlebology, 2004 BronzeAward at 18th American College of Phlebology, 1999 Young Investigator Award at 41st International College of Angiology, 1998 Travel Award at 18th International Union of Angiology and 1997 Platinum Award at 11th American College of Phlebology. He published 105 English papers and 117 abstracts. He gave 34 presentations as an invited speaker (overseas).
He is currently a Board Member and serves as the Chairs of the Venous Disease Survey Committee and the International Committee of the Japanese Society of Phlebology. He is a Distinguished Fellow member and serves as member of International Committee of the American Venous Forum. He also serves as a member of the International Affairs Committee of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society. He became a member of Education Committee of the International Union of Phlebology in 2019.
