Vascular Medicine Fellow
Jobst Vascular Institute
Toledo, Ohio
Early in life, my goal was to become an accomplished physician. I'm originally from Iraq, I have
graduated from University of Baghdad Medical School, the oldest and most prestigious medical school in Iraq then came to the US few years post my graduation.
My interest in vascular medicine began when I was primary care provider in a poor
neighborhood in Queens treating an overwhelming number of patients with
venous insufficiency and peripheral vascular disease leg ulcers. I realized
how vital and important to manage those cases before they advance and
become a burden to the patient and the physician.
I have worked as a hospitalist as well and achieved invaluable experience managing many interesting vascular cases in
the inpatient setting as well, this was the corner stone for bigger
responsibilities and opened the door for vascular Medicine . As a result, I joined
Jobst Vascular Institute that is perfectly complementing my
academic journey that started in Iraq and has continued through years of
clinical and research milestones in the United States to culminate in a
training that will focus on further learning the optimal management of
vascular diseases as well as continuing my unbounded research quest.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
