Dr. Boyle's career spans clinical cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, surgical research and medical device innovation. He is the founder of the Inovia Vein Specialty Centers with offices in Northwest Portland, Tigard, Hillsboro, Happy Valley and Bend, Oregon. He is a member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society (AVLS) and the American Venous Forum (AVF). He is a founding board member of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)-Cardiac Surgery, a patient safety organization that develops consensus based perioperative care pathways for cardiac surgical patients through collaborative expert consensus and dissemination of best practices. He has received research and innovation awards from the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Heart Association (AHA), and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons (EACTS). He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and is an inventor on over 20 US and international patents.
Dr. Boyle graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed general and cardiothoracic surgery residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle. In this setting he also completed a vascular biology research fellowship focusing on the study of inflammation and coagulation.
