Sapelkin Sergey Viktorovich - MD, PhD, Professor, leading researcher of Vascular Surgery department of the National Medical Research Center of Surgery named after Vishnevsky A.V. Ministry of Health of Russia, Moscow.
He has a wide range of surgical interventions for almost all vessel diseases (arterial, venous and lymphatic systems).
Scientific interests of Dr. Sapelkin S.V.: congenital malformations coexists with one of the most important areas of his scientific and practical activities. He is the co-author of the monograph on congenital vascular diseases, which is the main leadership on this issue in the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of phlebological subjects, Dr. Sapelkin S.V. (Nutcracker-syndrome), deals with compression treatment and sclerotherapy in patients with venous malformations.
With his direct participation, work was carried out to create international standards for the diagnosis and treatment of CVD, venous thromboembolic complications (VTO), angiodysplasia, and modern minimally invasive technologies for the treatment of chronic disease.
The author of more than 220 published works, several chapters in his manuals on vascular surgery.
He is Vice-President of the Association of phlebologists of Russia (AFR), Russian Society of Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons (ROAS), European Society of Vascular Surgeons (ESVS), European Venous Forum (EVF), American Venous Forum (AVF).
