Dr. Vineet Mishra is a Mohs surgeon and board certified dermatologist specialzing in Mohs surgery, cosmetic dermatology, laser medicine, and venous disease. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of California – San Diego. Prior to joining Scripps Clinic, he was an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of Mohs and Procedural Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio from October, 2013 to June, 2018. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science. He completed his medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, internship at Emory University, dermatology residency at the University of Alabama – Birmingham, and procedural dermatology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California under Dr. Hugh Greenway. His interest and expertise includes Mohs surgery, laser medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and venous disease. He also co-chairs the annual Chief Academy. He is a previous board member for the American College of Phlebology Foundation and current board member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society as well as American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He has published numerous articles in dermatology and co-authored several book chapters. Dr. Mishra lectures nationally on cutaneous oncology, laser medicine, phlebology, and cosmetic dermatology. He also is deeply involved in public policy at the state and federal level as well as through his work in the Tennessee Dermatology Society and American Medical Association House of Delegates.
