This session will include advance in noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging being used to further understand lipedema and treatment opportunities. Along with research advancements, the session will present on advocacy and awareness updates in lipedema for optimizing provision of care to our patients living with lipedema. Lastly, this session will also embark on nutritional guidance for not only lipedema, but also the general population given the growing obesity epidemic impacting patient quality of life and health.

Learning Objectives:

Explain the use of sodium MRI and its use in furthering the understanding of lipedema
Recognize the lipedema awareness and advocacy opportunities in an effort to further support the growing needs for supporting our lipedema population
Discuss the various nutritional guidance strategies to assist our patients with their nutritional health goals
