This program explores the patient's journey through chronic venous insufficiency: from symptom onset, through treatment, and on to follow up. Special attention is given to the patient's voice and emphasis on whether they are satisfied with different aspects of their treatment. In addition to a case-driven discussion, there will also be a review of current patient reported outcome measures and consideration of what they will look like in the future.

Learning Objectives:

Formulate a chronic venous insufficiency treatment plan based not only on duplex ultrasound and other conventional medical assessments, but also on the quality of life factors that are most important to the patient.
Discriminate between state-of-the-art chronic venous insufficiency treatment modalities, namely endothermal ablation and cyanoacrylate closure.
Recognize the capabilities and limitations of patient reported outcome measures, especially for assessing peri-procedural patient treatment satisfaction.
