Center for Advanced Vein Care
Mentor, Ohio
My name is Sonja Stiller-Martin, MD. I am a Diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and am board certified in Emergency Medicine. In 2014, I opened Center for Advanced Vein Care, in Mentor, Ohio, which is an independent private practice. Previously I had trained with and worked for Vein Clinics of America in Beachwood, Ohio, from 2008-2013.
My background in medicine began in 1989, when I entered a Medical Toxicology PhD tract at Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public health. In 1991, I changed my focus and entered medical school at Medical College of Pennsylvania(MCP), Philadelphia. I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at MCP, where I focused on trauma, pediatric trauma and critical care, in 1998. I spent 13 years serving in Emergency Departments in Philadelphia and various emergency departments in northeast Ohio, before I chose to specialize in Venous and Lymphatic medicine.
I am excited to be involved in the field of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine on a community level where I enjoy educating our local healthcare professionals and community members about Venous and Lymphatic health. On a national level, I have been active with the ACP/ AVLS, through committee participation since 2010. Currently, I serve as the Committee Chair for Emerging Science and Abstract Committee, where I hope to encourage and inspire excellence in scientific research in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, hiking, skiing, ballroom dancing, sewing, gardening and Tai Chi.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
