Presentation Description: Anyone in a leadership position recognizes that it's all about the people, and people sometimes have strong emotions. An effective leader must be able to recognize and validate those emotions to foster strong working relationships and manage the dynamics in their center. This session will teach the tools of validation, rooted in DBT techniques, to help anyone in a leadership position better understand and navigate their employees' strong feelings.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify situations in which validation tools may be helpful.
Participants will be able to apply the five-step validation tools taught in the session.
Participants will learn about other psychology tools helpful to leadership.
