Presentation Description: In Austin, Texas, when someone calls 9â€1â€1 they hear, "Austin 9â€1â€1, do you need Police, Fire, EMS, or Mental Health Services?" Discover how Austin's 9â€1â€1 Mental Health Diversion Program transfers over 700 9â€1â€1 calls per month to mental health clinicians, connecting those in need to the mental health treatment system as opposed to the criminal justice system, and freeing up critical emergency resources.
