As drone activity continues to increase in the United States, Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) will encounter an increase in drone‐related calls. To ensure an appropriate response, it is critical for ECCs to understand the distinctions between safe and unsafe drone activity, how to direct callers and bystanders to safety, and what information must be collected to inform law enforcement action.
