Blake DeRouchey has served as the 911 Program Manager for the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management since 2015. He is responsible for the administrative functions of the 911 program in Iowa, coordinating and assisting with local 911 service boards, managing and upgrading the 911 system in Iowa, and overseeing the 911 emergency communications surcharge. Beginning in 2019, he added legislative liaison to his responsibilities. Blake also serves as the representative for the National Association of State 9-1-1 Administrators (NASNA) on the First Responder Network Authority Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC).
Prior to his duties as 911 Program Manager, Blake filled a handful of roles within the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. From 2008-2015, he was the State's Volunteer and Donations Coordinator and Operations Officer in the State Emergency Operations Center. He also spent 11 years in the Iowa National Guard as an MP, reaching the rank of Captain. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving in 2008 in Baghdad.
