Phoenix Fire Department | Phoenix Regional Dispatch Center, Arizona
Nicole is the Fire Communication Manager for the Phoenix Fire Department Regional Dispatch Center. This secondary PSAP answers over 1 million calls for service per year and dispatches fire and EMS resources for 29 jurisdictions in the Automatic Aid Consortium. She manages over 90 dedicated dispatchers, leads, and supervisors. Prior, Nicole spent 21 years with the Phoenix Police Department as a dispatcher, supervisor, and finally as the Radio Network/Encryption Manager for the Regional Wireless Cooperative (RWC), a radio network comprised of 23 member cities with 20,000 radio subscribers, covering 5000 miles of system coverage.
Nicole spent 20 years in the United States Airforce before entering public safety. This led to an interest in communications and interoperability where she has been able to develop this skill set. Nicole is the current co-chair of the Phoenix UASI Interoperability Communication Subcommittee and member of the RWC Operational and Policy Working Groups, as well as serves as the Arizona APCO/NENA chapter secretary and treasurer.. Nicole was selected to be one of the primary regional interoperability communication planners for Superbowl 57, which will be hosted in Glendale Arizona next February. She also serves as an All-Hazards Communications Unit Leader (COML) in the State of Arizona and works within the Phoenix USAI Incident Management Team for numerous planned and unplanned events.
