Amber Young began her career as a Communications Officer at the Hamilton County Communications Center in 2002. At the Hamilton County Communications Center, she provided emergency dispatch service for one hundred and five police, fire, and EMS departments covering forty-two political jurisdictions. Amber was promoted to Communications Training Officer in 2004 and continued to climb the ladder to Shift Commander.
In 2016, Amber became one of twenty-five in the State of Ohio who have achieved the Emergency Number Professional Certification through the National Emergency Number Association (NENA). In 2019, Amber was selected by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials to receive the Silent Key Scholarship through APCO and obtained her APCO RPL Certification in February of 2021.
In 2020 Amber moved to Cheyenne after obtaining the position of Director for the Laramie County Combined Communications center, where she is living her dream of moving out west and living in the mountains.
