Kari Key is a Training and Quality Assurance Officer with Hamilton County Public Safety Communications in Indiana. She has over 15 years of experience in public safety communications. She is trained in both police and fire radio, in additional to call taking. She has previously worked in the positions of Communications Training Officer (CTO) and Supervisor. Kari holds the certification of Emergency Number Professional (ENP) through National Emergency Number Association (NENA). Kari is trained through International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) in EMD-Q, EFD-Q, EPD-Q, and ETC-I. She also is a CPR instructor through the American Heart Association. She received Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training in 2012 and since training has represented dispatch on the local CIT training committee. She was trained in 2015 through International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) in Group Crisis Intervention and Assisting Individuals in Crisis. After receiving training through ICISF, Kari started a Peer Support Team at Hamilton County Public Safety Communications. Kari has also received training through ICISF in Advanced Group Crisis Intervention.
