Situational Awareness Domain Lead
First Responder Network Authority
Mr. Randy Kerr joined the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) in October 2018 and is assigned to the Roadmap Development Division as the Situational Awareness Domain Lead. Mr. Kerr's areas of responsibility also include working with the various components of the FirstNet Central Portal (e.g., Uplift Request Tool, Network Status Map, FirstNet Assist app) and supporting internal functional communities in the disciplines of Emergency Management and 9-1-1/Emergency Communications Centers.
Mr. Kerr's public safety experience includes serving and retiring as a Law Enforcement Captain/Technical Services Division Commander responsible for a multi-discipline 9-1-1 public safety communications center in north Florida, as well as a variety of other operational and technical functions within the Sheriff's Office. Prior to joining the FirstNet Authority, Mr. Kerr also served as a communications subject matter expert supporting the Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program.
