Presentation Description: Each day, newly hired young people join the working force in the emergency communications profession. While new, they're not fully prepared for the potential that they have in service to their community and the profession. It's important for all generations currently in the center to realize what the potential of these individuals and how they can be young professionals. Join several young professionals from both the public and private sector of emergency communications during this one‐hour panel as they discuss critical topics such as cultivating leadership skills, and helping new young professionals overcome obstacles they may face.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to utilize methods discussed to identify and cultivate leadership skills in young professionals within their network.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to utilize techniques to connect young professionals and new employees to opportunities and resources within APCO.
By the end of this session, participants will be aware of the challenges faced by younger employees will have the tools to assist those employees in overcoming those same obstacles.
