Dr. Therese M. Mulvey, MD, FASCO is the Director of Breast Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was previously the Physician-in-Chief at Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Dr. Mulvey has previously worked as a physician at other community practices in Massachusetts, including East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Commonwealth Hematology Oncology, where she also served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Mulvey served as Chair of the Clinical Practice Committee and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Oncology Practice. She has served on the Cancer Quality Alliance. Dr. Mulvey recently served on the Board of Directors of ASCO. Dr. Mulvey has chaired the Quality of Care Committee and been a member of the Value in Cancer Care Task Force, State Affiliate Council, Cancer Education Committee, the ASCO Quality Symposium and Best of ASCO Planning Committee. Dr. Mulvey received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed her internship, residency, and fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center. She completed a research and clinical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He interests and research is in patient safety and improvements in cancer care delivery.
