The Intersectional Rainbow will explore in panel format how LGBTQIA+/queer identities intersect with other marginalized or minoritized identities to inform and represent historically underrepresented groups in Young Adult literature.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to recommend books that are more nuanced and better representations of the variety of queer experiences in young adult literature.
Upon completion, participant will be able to update collections with more diverse sexualities and genders represented.
Upon completion, participant will be able to identify works that meet multiple diverse representations (queer and disabled, queer and neurodivergent, queer and BIPOC, etc.).
