Sustainability Hubs in Practice: How libraries can develop dynamic spaces and services to help foster an action-based sustainability culture in their communities

Learn ways in which academic (and other) libraries can create spaces, services, resources, and opportunities that support a more practice-based and action-driven approach to sustainability education within their communities. This broad overview will focus on practical steps of how to start and sustain a Sustainability Hub in libraries and go on to discuss specific examples of services and resources to help encourage community members to engage in sustainability action and reflection through everyday practice.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe what a Sustainability Hub is and identify some specific resources that might be offered.
Upon completion, participant will be able to consider their own opportunities for practice-based and action-driven approaches to sustainability education within their communities.
Upon completion, participant will able to engage with and connect more deeply about sustainablity opportunties in their own setting with others who are interested in this topic.
