Jennie Stapp is a Montana native. She holds a BA in International Studies from Rocky Mountain College. She earned her MLS from the University of Arizona in 2002. Jennie worked previously for the Montana Historical Society Research Center and joined the staff of the State Library in 2005. She has been State Librarian since January, 2012. In addition to her leadership in Montana, Jennie served on the Board of the Schools, Health, and Libraries Broadband Coalition where she served two years as Chair. Jennie also served on the ALA Census Task Force and the National Geospatial Advisory Committee. Jennie is currently Chair of the Board of the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies.
