Sylvie Golod is the Career Services Specialist at The Richland Library Business and Careers Center, which was recently selected for the 2022 NCDA Exemplary Career Center Program Award, Non-Profit and Community Organizations.
Since 2011, she has worked with an impressive team, assisting library customers with tens of thousands of career-related transactions. Sylvie unites her vision, innovation, and certified training to create and convey empowering programs for career services staff, job seekers, businesses, community organizations, as well as state and national associations.
She is dedicated to providing free resources, career and workforce development presentations, partnerships, classes and training in résumé writing, career coaching, and succession planning. Sylvie is certified as a Career Services Provider, Professional Résumé Writer, and Entrepreneurship Teacher and is among a select group of Richland Library Leadership graduates.
Through her presentations at National Career Development Association (NCDA) and SC Career Development (SCCDA) conferences, educational institutions, businesses, agencies and community organizations, Sylvie inspires diverse public library partnerships. This year, she served an NCDA conference proposal reviewer for the proposal Selection Committee.
On the state level, Sylvie was the 2018 Founding President of SCCDA, a division of the NCDA and recipient of the NCDA 2019 Outstanding Emerging State Division Award. Since that time, she has served the SCCDA Board as Emeritus and contributed to the communications committee, where she was recently appointed Communications Chair for 2022-2024.
