Raina Tuakoi

Raina Tuakoi is a Youth Services Librarian at Sunnyvale Public Library. She is a champion for diverse and inclusive library programs for families and children. She has instituted ongoing library programs for underserved groups, including sensory storytimes for children with special needs, cultural/social justice programming for kids, reading programs for English Second Language children and early literacy programming for new parents. Raina has been recognized nationally as a 2012 ALA Spectrum Scholar, a 2014 CLA Begun Award Recipient, and a 2018 ALA Emerging Leader.
