Kathi Inman Berens, Associate Professor of Book Publishing and Digital Humanities at Portland State University, is co-author of Immersive Media and Books 2020, the first study to examine book consumption alongside streaming media and videogames. In 2014-15, she was the U.S. Fulbright Scholar of Digital Culture to Norway. At the Annenberg Innovation Lab at the University of Southern California, she did IBM-funded research about synchronous video learning a decade before COVID made it urgent. She’s appeared on numerous podcasts and webinars, and her essays have been published in scholarly and trade press journals.
