Public Humanities Specialist

Madeleine Rosenberg is the Public Humanities Specialist at the Princeton Public Library. She previously served as Chief Public Historian for the New Jersey Historical Commission, and prior to that she was the Director of Exhibition Development at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Madeleine is active across the public history field, including as a member of the NCPH Professional Development Committee and the AASLH Women's History Affinity Committee and as a graduate of the 2021 History Leadership Institute Seminar. She specializes in inclusively interpreting complex narratives, exploring notions of collective memory and commemoration, and developing audience-centered programs and content.
