Samantha Oakley is a project director with the American Library Association's Public Programs Office (PPO). In her role, Samantha manages a portfolio of more than $10 million in private and federal grant funding, leading development and implementation of national library iniatives including Libraries Transforming Communities, Let's Talk About It, Community Connect, and more. She also manages project evaluation and research efforts of ALA PPO in collaboration with independent evaluators from Knology and PIE Org. Samantha has an MA in gender studies from Minnesota State University - Mankato and a BA in English from Western Illinois University. Currently, she is in the process of getting an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin - Madision.
