Julia is currently the Director for Research and Instruction at Kenyon College. She has worked in a variety of roles over the past 15 1/2 years at Kenyon. She is the current chair of the ALA Intellectual Freedom Committee (IFC) (2018-present). She is also a current Trustee of the LeRoy C. Merritt Fund, former LLAMA liaison to the IFC, past Trustee of the Freedom to Read Foundation, and past chair of the Intellectual Freedom Round Table.
