Megan Hodge is Head, Student Success at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she works with VCU's first- and second-year students, particularly those who identify as first-generation, underrepresented minorities, or low-income. She was a 2011 ALA Emerging Leader, 2014-2015 president of the ALA New Members Round Table, and an ALA Councilor-at-Large from 2015–2021. Most recently, she published the articles "Qualities of Academic Librarians Who Advance into Middle Management: An Exploratory Factor Analysis" (Journal of Library Administration) and "Library Mood: Re-Creating the Library Experience from Home" (portal). Megan expects to earn her Ph.D. in educational research, assessment, and evaluation in December 2022; her dissertation is titled "Profiles of First-Year First-Generation Students' Library Perceptions and Use: An Intersectional Mixed Methods Study."
