Anne Rasmussen is the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives and Public Services at the Milwaukee Public Library. Anne provides leadership, vision, inspiration and direction for public facing staff in the thirteen locations of the Milwaukee Public Library. Anne’s intention is to cultivate an environment that results in exceptional patron experiences through MPL’s friendly, intuitive services and intentional, community-empowering programming.
Anne joined the Milwaukee Public Library in early 2019, coming from the Kenosha Public Library in the role of Customer Experience Manager. Prior to this, she worked in academic settings where she served as a University Copyright and Continuing Resources Librarian, and as a part-time high school librarian.
Anne currently connects to the community through her work serving on the City-wide Race Equity Leadership Team, Imagine MKE, an organization that serves Milwaukee as the chamber of commerce for the arts, and membership at NoStudios, an arts-based social justice community space.
