Library Supervisor
Wake County Public Libraries
Anna Ward works for Wake County Public Libraries as a Library Supervisor in Youth Services. She is a graduate of North Carolina Central University’s Library Science program. During the first phases of the pandemic, she worked in various emergency operations roles including site manager in the healthy and isolation hotels operated by their county. She has a bachelor’s in social work from UNC-Wilmington and experience in planning programs and fundraising for non-profits. She received New Hanover County’s Stellar Award for Innovation in 2015 and the 2012 Community Humanitarian Award from Coastal AIDS Resource Effort. She presented on Handselling Library Programs at the 2018 Azalea Coast Library Conference and was part of the North Carolina Library Association’s 2018 Leadership Institute Cohort. Anna grew up in libraries and loves all the glitter and slime involved in public library work.
