Currently working as the Head of Information Instantiations and Professional Skills Department, Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Holding many positions in different committees: Chair for the VIAF Council, Member in the IFLA Cataloguing Committee, Chair of the Arabic translation team of the RDA (Resource Description and Access) and The National representative member for Africa in the RDA Board.
Leading many translation projects; developing Arabic versions of the 23rd edition of DDC and the 5 formats of MARC 21 and recently developing an Arabic version of the RDA Toolkit. Being a professional interpreter in the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) annual Conference since 2016.
Presented and published many publications in different topics in library and Information studies including Big Data, Library bibliographic Standards, Digital Humanities, and Translation challenges of Library tools.
In October 2014, obtained a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from University College London (UCL), London.
