Rebecca Hamilton is the State Librarian/Assistant Secretary at State Library of Louisiana in the Office of Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. She was appointed to this position in 2005 and began her tenure by coordinating with countless libraries in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In her role as state librarian, she administers annual funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, including stimulus funds in 2020 (CARES Act) and 2021 (American Rescue Plan Act).
