Barbara Hoffert is Editor of Library Journal’s Prepub Alert, which annually previews 1500 six months in advance of publication, and also assigns and reviews literary fiction and poetry for the magazine. She is a past president, awards chair, and treasurer of the National Book Critics Circle and past chair of the Materials Selection Committee of the RUSA (Reference and User Services Assn.), a division of the American Library Association.
