Sarah Myers is the Public Services Librarian at Murray Library of Messiah University. She also serves as liaison librarian for multiple fields, including education. Prior to her work in this position, Sarah worked as a research librarian at Mount Vernon in Virginia. Her scholarly interests include the history of education, information literacy and media literacy of youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities. Sarah actively collaborates with faculty including supporting skill development of information literacy, research support, and acquisitions to expand collections of children’s literature representing such diversity as disabilities, race, ethnicity, poverty and more. She previously collaborated on a study of how information literacy interacts with pre-service teachers’ skills at finding and evaluating evidence-based teaching practices. Results of that study were presented at a previous ALA conference.
