Allison Jennings-Roche is the Library Instruction Coordinator for Towson University and a Ph.D. student in Information Studies at the University of Maryland. Her previous education includes a BA in Political Science and English Literature, an MA in Legal and Ethical Studies, an MLIS with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and a graduate certificate in Organizational Leadership. Allison has professional experience in higher education, public and academic libraries, archives and special collections, and undergraduate teaching.
In her work, Allison is a strong advocate for critical information literacy, anti-racist and feminist pedagogy, and dismantling the hidden curriculum in higher education. Her doctoral research focuses on the role of libraries in American life, including information policy and advocacy, neoliberalism, organizational leadership, and feminized labor.
