Lyndsay Friedman is a librarian at Independence High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. In her role as librarian, she built the Project Lit Community and gained funding for the school's makerspace. While in her graduate library program, Lyndsay presented on engaging reluctant readers at the Virginia Association of School Librarians annual conference. Prior to becoming a librarian, she taught high school English for Fairfax County Public Schools for 8 years and 3rd grade for a private school in Northern Virginia for two years. Last school year, Lyndsay served as the Advocacy Chair and Interim President for the Loudoun Association of School Librarians (LASL). In June 2021, she was elected as the President of LASL.
